Black Swan Phase Two

Given its ideal location close to the motorway and rail networks, as well as Manchester City Centre, there was a great opportunity to appeal to a wider market including commuters and professionals. The idea was to introduce accommodation and create space that could be hired out for functions such as weddings, parties, etc.

The project included a lot of structural changes to the main building, along with the construction of a new extension to introduce:

• 14 new en-suite boutique bedrooms all named after local farms
• Two state of the art function rooms with modern features, audio visual facilities and one featuring an iconic fireplace
• Purpose built kitchen to service the greater needs of the restaurant goers and new residents
• Office space for the expanding Black Swan team
• Improved cellar

To complement the interior improvements, we introduced a relaxed external environment for customers to enjoy, in the form of outdoor seating, picnic area, purpose built BBQ, duck pond, children’s play area and mini football pitch.

The Black Swan now has regular business clients who stay over making commuting to and from Manchester and further afield an easier experience. The function rooms have been successful for weddings, parties and business events, with the outdoor area proving extremely popular particularly during the summer months.
