We bought the property with the aim of creating a business incubation centre and were successful in our application for change of use.
Significant work was required to the interior particularly in terms of decor with the pub standing vacant for over twelve months.
Minimal structural changes were made to the ground floor apart from removing the stage from what is now the main office. The bar was retained as a reception area and the toilets are in the same place. Changes were made to the structure of the first floor, converting the function room into an open plan office, with 5 serviced offices, kitchen area and toilets. An entrance was created at the rear for specific access to the office space.
Later named Hamilton Davies House, the centre has proved extremely popular with all offices full on an ongoing basis and the free meeting space on the ground floor utilised extensively by local community groups.
